Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both questions: you suggest that people want to understand family and cultural history, and that they may investigate through relatives, online searches, and property dealers. The example about your father selling the house for your mother’s treatment gives one reason a property’s value may matter. However, the reasons are not consistently clear or fully developed. The opening focuses on financial value, while the first body paragraph shifts between ancestry, cultural values, and resale without explaining how these motives lead people to research a building’s history. The research methods also focus partly on market price rather than historical records. Develop each reason with a clear explanation and use methods such as local archives, land records, or previous owners to answer the question more directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on research, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To initiate this discussion” and “Furthermore” help signal these sections. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “The way how they bought this place” is a fragment following the point about cultural knowledge, and “Additionally, a further significant reason” repeats the same transition pattern. References such as “them” in “the real market worth of them” are also unclear. Improve progression by grouping related points, linking each example directly to its main idea, and using pronouns only when their reference is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural legacy,” “market worth,” “financial requirements,” and “property dealer.” These choices show an effort to discuss both heritage and property value. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “get aware about the past,” “solid structure,” and “chase it” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “ancesstors,” “maintability,” and “emergeny” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, familiar collocations before using more elaborate phrasing, and proofread spelling. For example, “learn about the history of their home” is clearer than “get aware about the past of their homes.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including “If you find any clue then chase it otherwise talk to your nearest relatives.” However, complex sentences are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to follow. “The way how they bought this place and what roles they played” is a sentence fragment, while “in emergeny cases they may sold it” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction, as in “it is a essential thing” and “my father maintain.” Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check verb tense, subject–verb agreement, and articles.
