Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this modern age, most of the people have enough idea to know about the history of there house or building in which the are living or the are going to buy it. From my perspective, the reasons behind it not too much difficult the people need to estimate the durability of the building or house to know either it is safe for living or not.

To begin with, the details of the reasons. Most of the people dream to buy a house which is safe for their family and privacy therefore, they trys to estimate about the durability and build quality of the house and build. they also make some questionaries from the people leaving in the neighbourhood of the the building and house to spasify the security and privacy of the house and family. For example, when i buy a new house. i first check the durability and built quality of the building then i check the location to spasify the safety in consequence that we donot have any tension about my house and family.

Now, research about this, the people first try to make some questionaires for the develpers or the sellers of the house that when it is made and what is the condition of this plate before the construction. By contrast, some people made some estimate from the websites of the government to insure the records of the building and house.

In conclusion, it is compalsory for every one to investigate first before shifting in a new house or a building because it is able to insure the the safety of your parents, families and privacies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest that people want to check a property's safety and durability, and you mention asking sellers or developers and consulting government websites. These are relevant starting points, but the response only partially develops the task. The reasons focus almost entirely on safety, while other plausible motivations—such as curiosity about previous owners, architectural heritage, or changes to the neighbourhood—are not explored. The research methods also need clearer explanation; for example, you could describe checking property records, local archives, or historical maps. Your personal example supports the safety point, but it does not clearly show how someone investigates a building's history. Develop a wider range of ideas and explain each with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a basic structure, with an opening, separate paragraphs for reasons and research, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two parts of the task. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the opening moves from people knowing a building's history to estimating its durability without explaining the connection, and the research paragraph shifts abruptly from asking sellers to government websites. Linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “In conclusion” provide some signposting, but “By contrast” does not express a clear contrast between the two research methods. Use topic sentences that directly answer each question, then connect supporting details with more precise transitions and clear references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “durability,” “build quality,” “neighbourhood,” and “government.” This gives you a basic range for discussing property and research. However, the vocabulary is limited and several noticeable spelling or word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “spasify,” “questionaries,” “develpers,” and “plate” where “site” or “land” may be intended. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “make some estimate from the websites” and “estimate about the durability.” Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “property records,” “previous owners,” and “local archives” would help you explain research methods more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause with “therefore” and a sentence beginning “because.” However, the range is limited, and attempts to combine ideas often contain frequent errors that can make the meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “the reasons behind it not too much difficult,” “they trys,” and “when i buy a new house,” where the verb forms and sentence construction are faulty. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “the people first try” and the run-on opening paragraph. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add one subordinate clause at a time. Check verb tense and agreement, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
