Student answer (Band 5.5)
In many countries, it became a trend that a number of people are taking interest in finding out about the history of the houses or buiding where they are dwelling.
There are so many reasons for this . Many people find it intresting , and take this as a hobby, to know about their places and they simply do it for a self pleasures. Some people are inspired by social media trends .People, nowadays, upload such videos and posts on different social media platforms where they get some positive comments and link with community of their interests. I live in a town called Matta Mughal Khel which is full of ancient remains. A countless number of buildings and houses are present from the Mughal Empire era of subcontinent. Now, as the trend started, ,sotly isnpired by media and social apps, peole got curious about their houses where they were living. Many of them even dig places and found so many ancient remains of the bygone time. For example, one of my second cousin found a clay pot full of jewellary while they were digging a well of water. These sort of excavations are making people curious around the gobe to know abiut their living places. Sometimes, an old building or place increase it financial value when it is really old and has some history to present.
People can do research in so many ways. They can take help from the archaelogists which is not always possible or in the reach of every person . To cope this difficuly, they can take help from diffrent social media apps, where they can meet authentic people and share their queries. A good response is possible from their . We can't deny AI in this era, so Ai could be the easiest source for them however a cross check is needed in that case.
So, people do this activity simply as a hobby or they do it sometimes to gain a financial benefit in the form of discovering a treasure or gaining tourists attraction in many places.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons such as personal interest, social-media influence and possible financial gain, then suggest consulting archaeologists, using social-media communities and checking information from AI. The example of your cousin finding a pot gives the discussion a concrete personal detail. However, some points are more fully addressed than others. The reasons are developed at greater length, while the research methods are listed briefly; explain, for instance, how local archives, property records or older residents could help establish a building’s history. The claim that old buildings can gain value is also introduced without much explanation. A clearer distinction between researching a building’s history and excavating for treasure would make the response more focused.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: it begins with reasons, moves to research methods and ends with a summary. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these broad stages, and examples are generally placed near the ideas they support. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. The long middle section shifts from social-media trends to local remains, excavation and financial value without clearly signalling how each point relates to the main reason. Phrases such as “These sort of excavations” and “from their” also make references difficult to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and link each example explicitly to the point it illustrates. A more balanced paragraph on research methods would also improve progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range for the topic, including terms such as “ancient remains,” “Mughal Empire era,” “excavations,” and “financial benefit.” These choices help communicate the subject and show attempts to use more specific vocabulary. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “buiding,” “intresting,” “jewellary,” and “gobe,” and some phrases are unnatural, such as “self pleasures,” “link with community,” and “tourists attraction.” These do not usually prevent understanding, but they reduce precision and fluency. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases. Prefer accurate, natural wording over ambitious expressions when you are unsure of the form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “where they were living” and a conditional structure in “when it is really old.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “a number of people are taking interest” has an awkward verb pattern, “an old building or place increase” has subject–verb disagreement, and “they do it for a self pleasures” has problems with articles and number. There are also sentence-boundary and punctuation issues, such as the comma and full stop spacing in “this .” and “started, ,sotly.” Work on agreement, articles, and sentence punctuation, then proofread each sentence for a complete and correctly formed structure.
