Student answer (Band 6.0)
Citizens of many countries have developed interest in knowing the history of the residential building or a house. There are various reasons for this development and multiple resources are available to help people in searching information related to it.
One of the main reasons is that people are now becoming more aware of the consequences of buying a property without any inspection. Sometimes they face negative results of relocating in a house which is not properly built or have some legal issues. Moreover, some individuals believe in religious matters, such as spirits or black magic, so they are more scared to rent out any place which is possessed or known for any negative incidents. Another reason could be to know the people who were used to live in that place and society members before moving in. Many people enjoy social interaction and they prefer places with same cutlture or traditional values. That is how they can predict if that place is safe and comfortable for them to move in.
There are adequate resources available to find out the history of the house or a building. Firstly, people can use internet services, such as Google or their websites to look for necessary information. Furthermore, they can directly contact the people renting the house and investigate the house structure and neighbours. Addittionally, they can personally visit the appartment and observe the environment. They can also hire a lawyer to ensure the proper transfer of the properties to avoid any future regrets.
In conclusion, nowadays, people are becoming more aware of the history of the house or a building before purchasing or renting a property. This is important because it can help them to avoid any legal issues or dangers which they might not be aware of. People can get this information through online portals or physically viewing the place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you give reasons for investigating a property’s past and suggest ways to research it. The points about avoiding construction or legal problems and learning about previous residents are relevant. However, some ideas are more fully explained than others. The concern about spirits or “black magic” is mentioned but not connected clearly to why people seek a building’s history, while the preference for a familiar culture or traditional values needs a more specific explanation or example. Your research methods are also somewhat general: online searches, contacting renters and visiting the property are listed, but you could explain what records or sources people should consult and what each might reveal.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on research methods and a conclusion. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Another reason,” and “Firstly” help readers recognise the progression. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger organisation. However, the links between ideas are occasionally mechanical, and some references are unclear: “That is how they can predict” does not precisely identify what “that” refers to. The conclusion largely repeats the introduction rather than drawing together the main points. Use clearer links between each reason and its consequence, and vary transitions so the organisation feels more natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “consequences,” “legal issues,” “religious matters,” and “investigate.” These choices allow you to discuss both practical and personal motivations, and meaning remains clear. You also attempt more specific expressions, but some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, such as “developed interest,” “negative results of relocating,” and “people who were used to live.” Spelling errors such as “cutlture” and “Addittionally” also reduce accuracy. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; more precise terms for property records, previous occupants and structural condition would help you explain your ideas with greater control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “which,” “so,” and “before.” Most sentences communicate their meaning, and the response is generally readable. Some grammatical errors remain, however. For example, “a house which is not properly built or have some legal issues” has a subject–verb agreement problem, and “people who were used to live” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also issues with articles and number, as in “the history of the house or a building,” and punctuation spacing is inconsistent in “values.That.” Review agreement, verb patterns and article use, then proofread sentence boundaries. Greater accuracy across these structures would strengthen the response.
