Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this era everone is so much busy and even they have no time for their own work. And most of the people work 9 to 9 job and the man become too much exausted. And i will talk about this thing and i will give my opinion about this essay

The main advantage of this work is that follow the same routine and dosent have any change and it will helpfull because if you change the routine will get difficulty on daily changed routine for examply the man odes the work and go fo job and the time is 9 to 9 so he will get up and do breakfast at the same time.

The advantage of doing long hours on job isb that you can earn more for your familly and you will meet the daily needs of your life for example if you need anything so you you can do more work and earn more .

But here are also disadvantages that you can not spend time with your familly and it also increases your stress and anxiety and you gone far from your familly and at the end you quit the job .For example of you work on long hours and so if you are doing the job so will not be abe to spend time with your familly.

And you cannot give time for own fittness and you became sick for example if you do long hour job you will not pay attention to your health and you became week .

my opinion is that you do not do the long hours becase it can causes to much problems in your life and your life is also affected after doing this type of job.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question by presenting advantages and disadvantages and stating a clear view that long working hours cause more problems. The points about earning more and meeting family needs, as well as stress, reduced family time and poor health, are relevant. However, the response does not consistently develop the comparison needed to show why the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The routine point is difficult to connect to a genuine benefit, and its example mainly describes a daily schedule rather than explaining its value. The conclusion repeats your opinion but does not summarise the reasons. To strengthen the response, explain each main point with a clear cause-and-effect link and make the overall comparison explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has separate paragraphs for an introduction, advantages, disadvantages and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use basic linking expressions such as “But” and “For example.” However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear, and several ideas are repeated: the example about not spending time with family restates the preceding point, while the final paragraph repeats the health concern without adding a new explanation. Some connections are difficult to follow, particularly the paragraph about routine, and the opening promises to discuss the topic rather than introducing a focused argument. Organise the body around distinct reasons, use examples that extend those reasons, and link the conclusion directly to the comparison made.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “stress and anxiety,” “daily needs,” and “spend time with your family,” which makes the general topic understandable. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, and frequent spelling and word-form errors make the writing less clear. Examples include “exausted,” “familly,” “fittness,” “week” for “weak,” and “helpfull.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “9 to 9 job,” “far from your family,” and “do more work and earn more.” Build a more accurate range for discussing employment and its effects, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise phrasing would help you explain your ideas without repeating the same words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

Most sentences rely on simple patterns, and attempts to join ideas often produce faulty structures. For example, “And most of the people work 9 to 9 job and the man become too much exhausted” has problems with articles, agreement and sentence construction. In “if you change the routine will get difficulty,” the conditional clause lacks a clear subject in the main clause. There are also recurring errors with verb forms and agreement, as in “you became sick” and “it can causes,” as well as punctuation problems where sentences run together. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to understand. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then add controlled clauses using “because,” “if” and “which.”
