Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this contemporary world , life is so hard that most of among are working for long period of the day, leaving very busy schedule life's, because of which they dont have any time for themselves so that they can indulge themselves in any leisure activities. This metonomous lifestyle that lead to so many issues. In the upcoming paragraphs I will discuss about the advantages and disadvantages this had caused in our life's.

First of all, the prime advantage is that people feel that they can have more secure future once they will be in their late older ages, as they will not be able to work during that age and if they will save enough now than they life their life's without any worries. Secondly, some people says that this can lead to their childs have better future as nowadays everything is quite expensive and to give their children's better life they sacrifice their own happiness that they can fell while doing the activities the onces love to do.

On the other hand, if one is only doing work and not taking any rest or break, it could lead to burnout and stress. We all know how hard is to come out of it and how dangerous is it for oneself and our loved ones. In addition to this , continous workings and no physical activities can cause so many health issues likes obesity, diabetes, muscle weaks and so on.

In conclusion, I would say the disadvantage are more than the advantages as money cannot buy all the happiness in our lives. And only working and no time for yourself and loved ones will make us boring and away from them .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of working long hours. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention financial security and children's futures as advantages, and burnout and health issues as disadvantages, these points are not fully extended with specific, concrete examples. The position is clear, but the overall argument lacks depth. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by a detailed explanation or a real-world example that illustrates the impact of the situation described.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Secondly', and 'On the other hand' to transition between ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For example, the phrase 'this metonomous lifestyle that lead to so many issues' is grammatically fragmented and disrupts the flow. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects smoothly to the next will enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward phrasing and word-choice errors, such as 'metonomous' (likely intended 'monotonous'), 'muscle weaks' (should be 'muscle weakness'), and 'the onces love to do' (should be 'the ones they love to do'). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors in collocation and spelling occasionally distract the reader. Focusing on learning more precise collocations and checking for common spelling errors will help improve this score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('some people says'), incorrect pluralization ('childs', 'children's', 'life's'), and missing articles or prepositions. Additionally, sentence construction is often faulty, such as in the opening paragraph where the sentence structure is run-on and lacks proper punctuation. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Prioritizing accuracy in basic sentence construction and proofreading for pluralization and verb forms is essential.
