Student answer (Band 6.5)
World revolves around actions, similarly, money is inevitable for those working hard for it. Meanwhile, striking a balance between working hours and leisure hours is a debatable concern. Being a great advocate of hard work in terms of spending a major proportion of day doing work leads to less time for other tasks. I reckon that it is not highly beneficial to be extraordinary dedicated towards attaining materialistic goals.
To begin with advantages, a dedicated person achieves relatively higher in terms of economic rewards in comparison to ordinary worker. For instance getting promotion, salary increments, hired up by international companies, getting bonus, etcetera. Furthermore, a social image earned solely by individual efforts comes as an intangible asset. As a result, becoming a renowned welcoming personality in every room which imbibes a self confidence in person.

Above all, the psychological ability of human being suffers at extreme level due to intense workload. Which one day turns to be a stressed and uncontrollable situation. Ultimately, looking for psychotherapist to relive the burden and finding out the imbalance circumstance around which the individual is caught up.
Overall, there should be balance between work life and personal life. Otherwise, the individual will end up having all the wealth of universe with exactly no family member and successor of all richness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of working long hours. The position is clear throughout, and the main ideas are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat uneven. While the advantages are supported with examples like 'salary increments' and 'promotions', the disadvantages, particularly the psychological impact, are mentioned but could be more thoroughly explored to reach a higher band. The conclusion provides a summary of the writer's stance, which helps maintain a clear position. To improve, ensure that each point is fully extended with more detailed reasoning or specific, illustrative examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'On other side', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'On other side' (should be 'On the other hand') and the abrupt start to the final paragraph. Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow between sentences feels slightly disjointed. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence of the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'inevitable', 'intangible asset', and 'vulnerable'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'imbibes a self confidence' (should be 'instills self-confidence') and 'relive the burden' (should be 'relieve the burden'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word choice to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the psychological ability of human being'), subject-verb agreement ('relationships becomes'), and sentence fragments ('Which one day turns to be...'). Punctuation is also inconsistent in places. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear throughout the response. To improve, the writer should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed correctly without missing components.
