Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many individuals spend more time at work rather than on leisure activities. In this easy, I think that drawbacks are more than benefits which I would like to discuss in the upcoming paragraph.
if humanins work longer hours than they can become financially stronger through this they can easily buy the thing they really want and they dream to the thing. For example, my sister who 20-year-old and she work at Tim Hortons restaurant, and she work their long hours for 1 month to buy laptop which she is dreaming to purchase it. as result of these humans can give reward to themselves to earn motivation to work harder in job
on the opposite side, people spend more time in leisure activities they can become physically fit due to this heath related problem will also be decrease. along with this they can learn sport activities in their free time to instance, my friend utilized more time on free play activities. after 6 months, he becomes expert in UNO play. another point is that individuals can become more active when they spend more time on free play time as compared to spending time on work because leisure activity make the mind of people fresh.
in conclusion, i think that positive point is more than negative point to spend long time on free play activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt, the position is inconsistent; you state in the introduction that drawbacks outweigh benefits, but conclude that positive points (leisure) are more important. The ideas are under-developed and rely on simplistic examples, such as the mention of 'UNO play'. To improve, ensure you meet the length requirement, maintain a consistent stance throughout the essay, and provide more sophisticated, relevant arguments that directly address the implications of working long hours versus leisure time.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'as result of these' and 'to instance'. Transitions between ideas are abrupt, making the flow of the argument difficult to follow. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks coherence, as the sentences do not always build logically upon one another. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words correctly and ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that supports your overall position.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'things', 'work', and 'time'. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'humans' instead of 'people' or 'employees', and 'heath related problem will also be decrease'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To achieve a higher band, you should work on using more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'financial stability', 'work-life balance', 'sedentary lifestyle', or 'recreational pursuits', and pay closer attention to word forms and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'she work their long hours'), article usage, and sentence structure. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, leading to run-on sentences or fragments. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters at the start of sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like tense consistency and missing articles. Practicing the use of complex structures in a controlled way will also help.
