Student answer (Band 6.0)
In todays fast developing era, humans have become very busy than earlier. They are using their most time behind professional work and barely get time for free-time activities such as watching movies, reading books and many more. In my point of view, this situations have more disadvantages. I would like to describe this in following paragraphs.
To begin with, we are all connected to our different type of professional works like working in office, in hospital, in school etc. Due to this we barely get chance in week days for completing our hobbies. However, we should spend some time for activities in which we actually find joy and happiness. This kind of actions takes you aways from your daily life stress and busy life. For instance, I always try to spend good quality time with my pet dog , reading good books in weekend.
Moreover, in todays time stress and anxiety have become the major problem in many people. As result, heart problems and mental health related issues are raising day by day. I was a part of depression in previous time when I was working in pharmaceutical company due to over work load. After that my psychiatric has advised me to do things which gives me relaxation.
In addition , due to work long hours we can not build good relationship with surrounding people. In my perspective, good relations with anyone such as your children or partner need a time. This type of time management will not only built good relations but it will also make your life easier and beautiful.
In conclusion, many people believed that professional work should be our first priority but I have always believed that we all should spend time for curriculum activities.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the situation has more disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, focusing on mental health, stress, and personal relationships. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about relationships is introduced but not fully explored with specific examples. While the position is consistent, the arguments could be more sophisticated to reach a higher band. The response covers all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis remains at a basic level, which is characteristic of a Band 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Referencing is generally clear, though some transitions between sentences feel abrupt. The overall progression of ideas is logical, but the lack of variety in linking words and occasional awkward phrasing in the introduction and conclusion prevents a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'most time behind professional work' instead of 'most of their time on professional work' and 'curriculum activities' when 'leisure activities' or 'recreational activities' was intended. While the meaning is generally clear, the student relies on basic vocabulary and struggles with collocations. To improve, the student should focus on learning more precise academic vocabulary and common collocations related to work-life balance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('this situations have', 'issues are raising'), article misuse ('in pharmaceutical company'), and awkward phrasing ('I was a part of depression'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to impact the overall flow. A wider range of error-free complex structures is needed to move into the Band 6.5 or 7.0 range.
