Student answer (Band 6.0)
Leisure time activities acts as stressbuster to get relief from busy lives. It is believed that working for long hours leave very less time to take part in leisure time activities. In my opinion, this has more of disadvantages than advantages. It will be shown with facts in the upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost is mental exhaustion. To explain further, work overload brings work related stress with it and a person started getting feel mentally disturbed. As a result, one can easily get frustrated and distracted from the work and it will effect their efficiency. For example, if a person give time to them and take part in their hobby such as swimming. This thing will give them a relax and calming environment. They will be distracted from their stress and can work more efficiently the following day.
Furthermore, long working hours brings a disbalance between personal and professional lives. This means that people left with no time to spend with their family members or friends. Consequently, the relationship between them suffers and it brings conflicts with it. Leisure time activities brings everyone together and brings the opportunity to spend with closed ones and have fun together.
On the flip side, the advantage of working for long hours is one and only financial stability. I believe that if a person is doing overtime, one can get more money. Subsequently, they be having more finances to save and spent on the luxuries in the future.
In conclusion, I would like to say that Although long hours working brings earning more money fact with it but also the disadvantages of working for long hours outweigh its advantages. So everyone should take time to enjoy their hobbies side by side they are earning for them.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the disadvantages of long working hours outweigh the advantages. The ideas are relevant, such as mental exhaustion and work-life imbalance. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding financial stability is brief and could have been expanded to better contrast with the negative impacts mentioned. While the position is consistent throughout, the supporting examples are slightly generic. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully explored with more depth and specific, illustrative examples rather than just stating the consequences.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'The first and foremost', 'Furthermore', and 'On the flip side', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where the transition from the example of swimming to the conclusion of that point could be smoother. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the overall progression of ideas could be more sophisticated.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common collocations, such as 'mental exhaustion' and 'financial stability'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'acts as stressbuster', 'very less time', and 'disbalance'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do highlight a lack of precision. To improve, focus on learning natural collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Leisure time activities acts', 'long working hours brings'), incorrect verb forms ('a person started getting feel'), and awkward sentence construction ('if a person give time to them'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of these grammatical slips prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
