Student answer (Band 5.5)

In modern era, life of every individual in this world get busy, and nobody has a time for their leisure activities. Less time for leisure activities outweighs the advantages.

To begin with, almost everyone works 8-10 hours of the day, and 1 hour for the travelling from home to work and vice-versa. Moreover, they have to give some time to their family and for themselves. This is the major reason for people to not get participate in health related activities. It is because, these days most of the persons having the bigger belly and suffering with the dangerous diseases like asthma, cancer, heart attack and many more. According to the researchers, approximately 65% of human beings dies with diseases.

Another reason is social media, whenever people get their free time, they started scrolling on instagram, facebook, tik-tok or many other social media sites. Most of the followers of social media are 16 to 40 years old youngsters. This is the golden period of their life to stay fit and eat healthy, however they consumed their time on chating or playing video games and eat junk food. For instance, if someone is addicted to playing the video games, then he/she would not do any effort to cook healthy food at home or do running, meditation or gymnastic. it is the concern youngster start loosing their eyesight or get fatty stomach.

In my conclusion, people should begin giving at 1 hour for leisure activities to avoid diseases and stay healthy. Every should do health activities with their family and adrime their children towards healthy life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear position that working long hours and having less time for leisure outweighs the advantages. However, the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion moves quickly between health impacts, such as mentioning that 'approximately 65% of human beings dies with diseases,' and social media habits without fully expanding on the specific ramifications of a work-heavy lifestyle. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to provide deeper explanations and fully extend their main points rather than jumping between disparate thoughts like physical health and digital distractions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization present, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, which allows the text to be followed overall. However, there is no clear progression of ideas throughout the response. Cohesive devices are frequently repetitive or inaccurate, such as using 'To begin with,' 'Another reason is,' and 'In my conclusion' in a somewhat mechanical way. Furthermore, referencing can be unclear, as seen when the text abruptly shifts focus from work hours to social media usage without a smooth transitional link. To improve, the writer should work on creating a logical flow between sentences and paragraphs using a wider and more natural variety of cohesive links.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for conveying the basic meaning of the prompt. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'health related activities,' 'bigger belly,' 'consumed their time on chating,' and 'fatty stomach.' Additionally, word formation and collocation need attention, as seen in expressions like 'do any effort' instead of 'make any effort.' To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical range by incorporating more precise and less common vocabulary, while reducing errors in word choice and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The grammatical range is limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures and basic patterns. Attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty, featuring frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent errors in articles and verb forms, such as 'In modern era, life of every individual... get busy,' 'nobody has a time,' 'most of the persons having the bigger belly,' and 'Every should do health activities.' Punctuation and subject-verb agreement also require careful revision. To progress, the writer should focus on mastering basic sentence structures while safely integrating a wider variety of accurate complex forms.
