Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's fast- faced world, the passion of working has been increased rather then staying home for both men and women that affects the work life balance. But the modern society has witnessed a growing reliance on technology that decreases the interest in other outdoor activities after long days in officies. I unequivocally believe that this situation has more cons than prons that will be duscussing in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with the first and prominent reason behind the situation is extra workload that has been increased now a days. People are working like a robots in big organisations to fulfill their needs. In addition, Inflation can be the second reason to work overtime that results into less bonding between family members. Evidence for this appears in the recent survey that was conducted by the government to check the fitness level of every other working employee in companies.
Moreover, There has been a noticeable shift towards the leisure activities. People usually spend their free time on mobile phones and other devices that are creating differences in health, family communication and much more.
Furthermore,A viable solution to this issue is that big oraganisations should add extra curricular events for their staff along with work. Opponents May agree that there should be daily routine to do yoga or exercise session twice a week in companies. Extra trips should be organised by the employers in order to navigate the stressful environment at workplace.
On balance, taking this solution into considerdation to decrease the the number of health issues and use of devices then activities is more beneficial.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the task partially, as it attempts to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of working long hours, though the stance is sometimes unclear. The writer states an intention to discuss the disadvantages in the upcoming paragraphs, such as when mentioning 'more cons than prons', but the development of ideas remains limited and under-developed. For instance, the reference to a government fitness survey is introduced abruptly without clear explanation of how it connects to the core argument about overwork. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to present fully developed, extended ideas with clear supporting examples that directly relate to the prompt's question rather than leaving points brief and disconnected.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation in the essay, with a visible attempt to use paragraphing and basic transitional markers like 'To commence with' and 'Moreover'. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the text, and cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate or inaccurate, such as using 'Opponents May agree' where a different logical connection is intended. Referencing can also be unclear, as seen in the concluding sentence where the link between the proposed solutions and the reduction of health issues feels mechanical. Achieving a higher standard would require ensuring that ideas are logically sequenced with smoother, more natural transitions between sentences and paragraphs, and maintaining a clear progression of argument from beginning to end.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for conveying basic ideas about work and lifestyle. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'unequivocally' and 'extracurricular', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of these inaccuracies include 'fast- faced', 'prons', 'duscussing', 'officies', and 'oraganisations'. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to expand their range of vocabulary, demonstrate greater precision in word choice and collocations, and eliminate spelling mistakes to ensure fluent and natural expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response relies on a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader, including issues with verb forms and agreements, such as 'the passion of working has been increased rather then staying home' and 'People are working like a robots'. Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after commas and unnecessary capitalisation in 'Moreover, There', also persist throughout the text. To progress, the writer needs to produce a greater variety of complex sentence forms with better control over grammatical patterns, articles, and prepositions to ensure that errors are less frequent.
