Student answer (Band 5.5)
Majority of indiviuals spend their alot of time on working and they give very less time to other activities. I think this situation have more disadvantages then advantages.
There are some advantages of work for long hours. It is help full for financial condition. It cannot denying that when someone spend more time on work then other activities then he can earn good amount of money as well as that person can save more then others who do more leisure activities because mostly people go outside for enjoy and try some new activities then they spend some money on travling and for buying some tickets for try activites.
There are alot of disadvantages of spend more time on long hours shifts. First demarite of long working hours is bored for same scehule. it is because when people do long shift then they need to stand or set for a long time and need to do same thing in their whole shift and that time people feel bored from that. Secondly, people feel stress. For explain this, nowadays, in every job their is compititation among employees about their work and every onw wants to come first and everyone need promotions in their jobs and thats why everyone try to give there best and in this people fell stress about their works.
In conclusion, there are more drawbacks of working for long hours and spendi g less time on other activites. everyone need to give equal time to other activities for balance their life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides by noting that longer hours may improve a person’s financial situation, while identifying boredom and stress as drawbacks. These points are relevant, but they are not equally developed. The financial benefit is explained with an example about spending on leisure, while the disadvantages would be more convincing with clearer consequences, such as effects on health, relationships, or productivity. The explanation of workplace competition is relevant but broad. To strengthen the response, develop each main point with a specific example and make the comparison between the benefits and drawbacks more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes your main position easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “First” and “Secondly” to organise the disadvantages. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “because mostly people go outside for enjoy” does not clearly show how leisure spending supports the point about earning and saving. The disadvantages paragraph also moves from boredom to stress without a concluding link between them. Use clearer cause-and-effect connections and develop one main idea at a time. More precise referencing would also help readers follow phrases such as “that person” and “that time.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “financial condition,” “leisure activities,” “long working hours,” “stress,” and “promotions.” However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the writing less natural and sometimes slow the reader. Examples include “demarite” for a drawback, “bored for same scehule,” and “compititation among employees.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “give their best” and “do more leisure activities.” Build a more accurate set of expressions for work-life balance and its effects, and check spelling carefully. Using precise collocations will make your explanations clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including explanations with “because” and “when,” so there is some variety in structure. The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “I think this situation have” needs subject–verb agreement, while “It cannot denying” has an incorrect verb form. In “when someone spend more time,” the verb form also needs to agree with its subject. Some long sentences combine several ideas without clear grammatical control, particularly the sentence beginning “It cannot denying that.” Practise building accurate complex sentences with one clear main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause, then check agreement and verb forms.
