Student answer (Band 6.0)
People these days are working for longer hours, meaning leaving a little time for leisure activities. I believe disadvantages of this situation outweigh its advantages. Although working long hours would increase the salary amount, its overall effects are worse.
One of the significant disadvantages of working longer hours is that it will make the body restless. It is well said that health is wealth; so it the body does not get enough rest it would make the body unhealthy in the long run. For example, a person who mork more than the usual 44 hours in the week is more likely to get health issues during old age and this is all due to not enough break time from the work.
Furthermore, leisure activities play an important role in referehing one's mind. Therefore, if a little time is allocated to leisure activities an individual would not be able to rejuvenate himself. As a result, he would not be able to be productive as he could have if done something which relax his mind and body. Additionally, doing some activity of your choice keeps your mental health good.
To conclude, it is undoubtely true that working more hours would increase the pay, however, it would have darastic effect on physical as well as mental well being of a person. Hence, it is good to have time set a side for yourself and enjoy something one likes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the disadvantages outweigh the advantage of higher pay, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides by acknowledging increased salary and explaining possible effects on physical and mental health. The points about rest and leisure are relevant, but some are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the claim that working over 44 hours leads to health issues in old age would be stronger with a clearer explanation or a specific example. The productivity point is also brief. The response is 15 words below the required minimum, so it has less space to develop these ideas. Add a developed example and explain the salary benefit before weighing it against the disadvantages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs focused on disadvantages, and a conclusion. The progression from physical health to mental well-being is logical, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “As a result,” and “To conclude” help guide the reader. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent arrangement and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, the first body paragraph moves quickly from rest to long-term illness without fully connecting the steps, and “Additionally” introduces a related point that could be integrated more smoothly. Some references, such as “it” and “he,” are not fully precise. Develop each paragraph around a clear claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “leisure activities,” “rejuvenate,” “productive,” and “mental health,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “health is wealth,” though this sounds somewhat formulaic in an academic essay. Several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision: “mork,” “referehing,” “undoubtely,” and “darastic” appear to be misspellings, while “restless” does not clearly express the intended effect of insufficient rest. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “salary amount” and “keeps your mental health good.” Aim for accurate collocations and proofread spelling; this will make your adequate vocabulary more precise and natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession with “Although” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and errors rarely prevent understanding. Some grammatical problems remain, however. The opening phrase “meaning leaving a little time” needs a complete construction, such as “which means that people have little time.” In “so it the body does not get enough rest,” the conditional clause is incorrectly formed, and “if done something” lacks a clear subject and verb. There are also issues with articles and sentence construction in “disadvantages of this situation” and “if a little time is allocated.” Review conditional clauses and ensure each clause has a clear subject and finite verb, while continuing to use varied sentence patterns.
