Student answer (Band 5.5)

These days alot of human work long hours and giving less time for other activities, which I believe that it having both benefits and limitations and that's what we are going to discuss about in upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with the advantages of working long hours which is, making good paycheck at end of the week which help the individual to live a quality life and they don't need to worry about spending moreover, they can also save money from it which will be beneficial for the person in future. Secondly, the money they save it also helps them to paln their retierment early which gives them time to spend it life with their loved ones.

On the flip side of the coin, that person will never ever able to find out about their own hobby that what the person want to do in their free time for an example, some human like singing, drawing acting etc. from where many people persue their hobby as a profession moreover, from there these people also earning pretty well and few got name and fame as well. Another disadvantage of working extra hours is not having a proper body rest from where human have to suffer from the stress, anxity and some other body related issues which can cause the painful end of the life and remain regret.

In conclusion, working long hours and give no time to the other task have both positive and negative points like earning more in a early time period so person can plan their retirement early and spend rest of their life with their family whereas they will not able to learn some other things as their hobby which they can persue as their career.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You discuss both advantages and disadvantages, with relevant points about higher earnings, saving for retirement, reduced time for hobbies, and health effects. However, the question asks which side has more advantages or disadvantages, and your position remains unclear: the introduction says there are “both benefits and limitations,” while the conclusion again lists both without deciding which outweighs the other. Several ideas are also under-developed. For example, you mention that hobbies can become professions and that long hours can cause stress, but you do not explain how likely or significant these outcomes are. State your overall judgement clearly and support it with a specific example or fuller explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for benefits, one for drawbacks, and a conclusion. The contrast between “To begin with” and “On the flip side” helps readers follow the two sides, and the main ideas are generally presented in a sensible order. However, some linking is mechanical or unclear. “Moreover” is used repeatedly, and the opening phrase “which is” does not connect smoothly to the point that follows. References such as “from where” and “it” in “the money they save it” make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Use fewer repeated connectors and make each sentence’s subject and reference explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “paycheck,” “retirement,” “hobby,” “profession,” and “stress,” and you attempt phrases such as “flip side of the coin.” However, the range is limited and several word choices, collocations, and spelling errors reduce precision. Examples include “alot of human,” “quality life,” “paln,” “retierment,” “anxity,” and “persue.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “painful end of the life” and “spend it life.” Build a more accurate set of phrases for discussing work and wellbeing, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you explain the effects rather than relying on broad claims.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses with “which” and “whereas,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in phrases such as “human work long hours,” “which help the individual,” and “they will not able to learn.” Sentence construction is also faulty in “which I believe that it having both benefits” and “that person will never ever able to find out.” Articles, plurals, and punctuation need attention as well, particularly in long sentences joined by commas. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Clearer sentence boundaries and correct verb patterns would make your ideas easier to understand.
