Student answer (Band 5.0)
As far as this topic is concerned, I would like to say that the impact of long work hours effect the human health and also their relation with their families and friends becuase the do not have enough time to talk them.which has always been debatebale and has now become more controversial with many people claiming that it is beneficial while others rejects this notion. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked the controversy over the potential impact un the recent years. From my perspective, long work hours have many drawback as compared to advantages beacuse the can effect the human health, distrub the family relationships, mental helath, and distrub the rotine .This essay will further elaborate my views for fabvoring the positive or negative impact of this trend and thus will lead to logical conclusion.
Analyzing the statement further, the primary reason behind this is that this issue is due to work pressure, family responsilities, financial problem, and non availability of basic necessities of life.Categorically discussing, it has far-reaching consequences. It spells disease and death, mental helath distrubances, backache this is due to the work, family, luxury life pressue.
Moving further,it is pertinent to mention that it is the basic duty of the government to provide a safe and stable society for the bettermentof the public. It is impreative for the authorities concerned to look into the factor behind this issue and take a drastic action against the concerned persons.
To encapsulate, I would like to appeal to the learned figures to come forward, focus their gaze at this issue and launch a vigorous campaign to reform it across the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You take a position that long working hours have more disadvantages, naming effects on health and relationships with family and friends. However, the response only partially answers the question: it does not explain any advantages or clearly compare the two sides, and the promised discussion of “positive or negative impact” is not followed through. The points about disease, mental health and backache are listed rather than explained with specific reasoning or examples. The paragraphs about government responsibility and launching a campaign also move away from evaluating whether the situation has more advantages or disadvantages. To strengthen the response, state your comparison clearly and develop two relevant disadvantages with explanations and examples directly connected to long working hours.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: the opening gives a general position, and later paragraphs introduce causes, consequences and a concluding appeal. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the body paragraphs do not clearly develop the argument announced in the introduction. The transition “Analyzing the statement further” leads to a list of possible causes, while “Moving further” shifts to government duties without showing how this supports the comparison in the task. Linking phrases such as “To encapsulate” signal paragraph roles, but they cannot replace clear connections between ideas. Several sentences also run together, making relationships between points unclear. Use a simple structure—position, one developed reason per paragraph, and a conclusion—and connect each paragraph explicitly to your main judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt a range of topic-related and formal expressions, including “family relationships,” “financial problem,” “far-reaching consequences” and “authorities concerned.” This shows an effort to use vocabulary beyond basic everyday terms. However, the range is limited by repetition and frequent inaccurate or unnatural choices, which sometimes make the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “the impact … effect,” “mental helath distrubances,” “luxury life pressue” and “learned figures.” Spelling errors such as “becuase,” “debatebale” and “rotine” are also noticeable. Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than adding formal phrases: for example, explain that long hours can “damage family relationships” or “increase stress,” then use those terms consistently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both longer sentences and shorter statements, including a complex opening with “because” and a sentence beginning “it is the basic duty of the government.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors can make the reader work to identify the intended meaning. In the opening, “the impact … effect” lacks a correctly formed verb, and “they do not have enough time to talk them” has an incomplete grammatical pattern. Sentence boundaries are also unclear in places, as in “which has always been debatebale … notion. The substantial influence…”. Agreement and article use need attention, too, as in “others rejects.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine related ideas with correctly punctuated clauses.
