Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention being a 'professional caretaker', you do not elaborate on what specific childcare duties you could perform. Additionally, the tone is occasionally inconsistent with a formal letter of application; phrases like 'turn my fantasy into reality' are slightly informal and vague for this context. To improve, ensure that your reasons for applying are more professional and directly linked to the family's needs rather than personal aspirations.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each addressing a specific requirement of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Apart from it', 'What is more', and 'In consequence'. However, some of these transitions are used incorrectly or sound unnatural, such as 'In consequence, I, however, have core knowledge'. This makes the flow of ideas feel slightly mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on using cohesive devices more naturally and ensuring that the relationship between sentences is clear without relying on forced linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation. For example, 'nativers' is not a standard term (you should use 'native speaker'), and 'teaching such linguistic' is grammatically incorrect. Furthermore, 'affluent people' is a strange choice in this context, and 'on dilemmas' is an incorrect collocation. While your meaning is generally clear, these errors in word formation and usage prevent you from achieving a higher score. Focus on learning the correct collocations for professional communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I use to speak a spanish' (should be 'I have spoken Spanish'), 'look out to your children' (should be 'look after'), and 'grant a permission' (should be 'grant permission'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage around transition words. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader and indicate a lack of control over complex structures.
