Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of why you are suitable is brief, and the mention of being a 'nanny' is a bit abrupt. To improve, you should expand on your teaching methodology or specific experience with children to make your application more persuasive. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening 'Dear Sir/Madam' is slightly generic given the prompt specifies writing to a 'couple'. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the ideas could be more thoroughly elaborated to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices like 'furthermore' and 'while', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or forced. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'I also take exam of your both kids after each my lesson', where the connection between ideas is slightly disjointed. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would strengthen the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your main points clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'exposure', 'opportunity', and 'tradition'. However, there are some word choice errors and awkward phrasings, such as 'I am the suitable one' instead of 'I am a suitable candidate' and 'make enjoyable subject' instead of 'make the subject enjoyable'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more precise collocations and avoid repetitive sentence structures. Expanding your range of descriptive adjectives and professional terminology will help convey your suitability more effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the position of a person'), subject-verb agreement ('I am professor'), and punctuation (missing spaces after periods). Additionally, there are errors in word order and preposition usage, such as 'I am waiting for your response' being slightly informal for the context. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable throughout the text. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy and refining your use of articles will significantly improve your score.
