Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: your suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter. However, the development of ideas is slightly uneven. For instance, while you mention your PhD and experience, the connection to teaching children could be more explicitly linked to your pedagogical approach. The mention of 'decorating homes' is a creative addition for the second bullet point, though it feels slightly disconnected from the primary role of a language tutor. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the requirements are met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each addressing a specific part of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Therefore', and 'Since', which help the flow of ideas. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'due to these reasons, I am looking a job from last month'. The referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be improved by ensuring that the transition between your professional qualifications and your personal motivation is smoother. Overall, the progression of ideas is easy to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'pedagogical', 'vacancy', and 'native language'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'decor the homes' (should be 'decorating the home') and 'teaching stream' (a less natural phrasing). You also use 'extra curriculum' instead of 'extracurricular'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise usage of collocations. Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary would help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical slips, such as 'I am writing with regard your advertisement' (missing 'to'), 'I am looking a job' (missing 'for'), and 'instruction that you given' (should be 'have given'). Additionally, there are punctuation and capitalization issues, such as 'Phd.' and 'times newspaper'. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of prepositions.
