Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, the explanation of suitability focuses on qualifications but lacks detail on how these would translate into teaching children. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear couple' is slightly unnatural; 'Dear Mr and Mrs [Name]' or 'Dear Sir/Madam' would be more standard. The ideas are relevant, but the response would benefit from more specific examples of how you would engage the children in learning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. There is a logical progression from introduction to qualifications, additional services, and finally personal motivation. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'I am writing this letter for getting a job posting'. Some transitions, like 'Furthermore' and 'Moreover', are used correctly, but the overall flow is occasionally interrupted by grammatical errors that make the connections between sentences feel less smooth. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different requirements of the task.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'basic scratch content', 'evolute my future placement', and 'I really respectful to you'. These errors occasionally hinder the clarity of the message. While you attempt to use some formal language, the phrasing often sounds unnatural or incorrectly collocated. To improve, focus on using more standard professional terminology and ensuring that words are used in their correct context, rather than attempting to use complex-sounding phrases that do not fit the sentence structure.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include incorrect verb forms ('I am writing this letter for getting'), missing articles ('in advertisement'), and subject-verb agreement issues ('the classes time is'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization (e.g., 'i' instead of 'I', 'Hard ward' instead of 'Harvard'). While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency and professional tone of the letter.
