Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for applying. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention your teaching experience, providing a specific example of a teaching achievement would have strengthened your candidacy. Similarly, the reasons for wanting the job are clear but could be expanded to show more enthusiasm or professional alignment with the family's needs. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the content lacks the depth required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter follows a logical progression, moving from the introduction to your qualifications, additional skills, and finally your motivation. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'While, I already doing a one job'. Paragraphing is present but could be more distinct to separate the different requirements of the task. Improving the flow between sentences would help the reader follow your argument more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'tutor', 'academic skills', and 'physical sports'. However, there are several spelling errors ('advertisment', 'Sydeny's', 'childern', 'cuncider') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'more than a half decade' and 'in my college times'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on more precise collocations and ensure accurate spelling of common words. The range of vocabulary is sufficient for the task but lacks the flexibility and precision expected at higher levels.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I just come across' (should be 'I have just come across'), 'I am interested for this role' (should be 'in this role'), and 'If your childerns have a interest' (should be 'an interest'). There are also issues with article usage and verb tense consistency. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the letter. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and preposition usage would be beneficial.
