Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional help, and reasons for wanting the job. However, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. The points are mentioned but not sufficiently expanded upon to demonstrate a full response. For instance, the reasons for wanting the job are stated briefly as 'gain experience', which lacks depth. To improve, you should elaborate on your teaching philosophy or specific experiences with children to provide a more persuasive and detailed letter that meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized, moving from the introduction to the specific requirements of the task. However, the paragraphing is insufficient; the entire body of the letter is presented as a single block of text. Using clear paragraph breaks for each bullet point would improve the structure significantly. While some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'In addition' are used, they are sometimes used mechanically or with minor errors (e.g., 'Addition to this'). The flow is generally easy to follow, but the lack of paragraphing limits the score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You use simple phrases like 'take good care' and 'good command'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'be prepare food' (should be 'prepare food') and 'working with child' (should be 'children'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise and varied vocabulary related to childcare and language instruction, such as 'pedagogical approach', 'nutritious meals', or 'nurturing environment'. The current range is sufficient to communicate your meaning but lacks the flexibility expected at higher levels.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The letter contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable. Examples include 'languages to' (should be 'too'), 'experience of in teaching', and 'looking forward for' (should be 'looking forward to'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. Increasing the variety of sentence structures while ensuring accuracy will help you achieve a higher score.
