Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter, although the opening 'Dear Sir/Madam' is slightly inconsistent with the prompt's instruction to address the couple. The ideas are relevant, but some parts, such as the 'playgrounds in our classrooms' and 'specially care taker plan', are slightly confusing or poorly explained, which limits the development of your ideas. To improve, ensure your explanations are clear and directly relevant to the context of a private tutoring role.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'Finally' to signal the structure of your letter. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. For example, the transition between the teaching experience and the 'care taker plan' feels abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help you achieve a higher band score.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your main points effectively. You attempt to use some specific terminology like 'market price' and 'valid Australia liences' (noting the spelling error). However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'suffering to reading' instead of 'struggling with reading' and 'specially care taker plan' instead of 'specialized childcare services'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices sound natural in a professional context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('your two children want' vs 'your two children wants'), incorrect pluralization ('childrens' is incorrect; the plural is 'children'), and awkward phrasing ('I would appreciate you guys if you can give me that chance'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and apostrophes. While these errors do not completely prevent understanding, they are frequent enough to impact the overall clarity of your writing.
