Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited by the language proficiency. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a family, though the opening 'Dear Jelly' is likely a misunderstanding of the prompt's placeholder. The ideas are relevant, but the explanation of why the candidate is suitable is repetitive, focusing heavily on household chores rather than the pedagogical aspect of teaching a language. To improve, you should expand on your specific teaching methodology or experience with children to better persuade the parents.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Therefore' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as starting a sentence with 'Because of whole works did in my past years.' The progression of ideas is logical, but the transitions between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used in the correct context would significantly enhance the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use phrases like 'take cake' (likely meaning 'take care of') and 'do in your home,' which are not natural collocations. There is a lack of variety in your word choice, and some terms are misused, such as 'our Australia of language' instead of 'the Australian language' or 'English.' To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning more precise collocations and avoiding the repetition of simple verbs like 'do' and 'make.'

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with verb tenses ('I see your advertisement' instead of 'I saw'), word order, and article usage. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors, such as 'I will have applied job regarding teach your two children.' While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence construction hinders the overall quality of the writing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage will help improve your accuracy.
