You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year. Write a letter to the couple. In your letter

• explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
• say what else you could do for the family
• give your reasons for wanting the job

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter because I saw your advertisement a few days ago, regarding hiring a tutor for your children to learn the Hindi language.

I wanted to share my interest in the same. As I was born and brought up in India and Hindi is my native language, I believe this makes me a suitable candidate for this job role. Also, not to mention, I have been teaching for more than a decade now.

Along with that, I have a profound love for children as well as for my country. Due to this, I would like to teach them some of our traditional songs and games. In my opinion, when children have an emotional connection with a language, they tend to grasp quicker.

I always wanted to add value to my mother tongue. Given the opportunity to teach your kids will help me serve this purpose. Looking forward to discussing this further with you.
