Dear parents,
I am writing this email to discuss an advertisement that you are looking for a teacher who can teach language to you children.
Firstly, I would like to inform you that I have finished my master's degree in the Gujarati language, might I am good option for them to teach your children. Also, I am working in a school part-time as a teacher, where I learn how to teach children.
In addition, I would like to inform you that I would assist you with your children's care, such as making breakfast for them and helping them with their other subjects and homework.
Finally, I like to request that if can give me a chance to express myself because I do not have a full-time job and I need it. I have to pay my expenses too; if you have anything else I can aid with that too.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Kind Regards.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points in the prompt: suitability, additional assistance, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of suitability is brief, and the reasons for wanting the job are focused primarily on personal financial need rather than a professional interest in the role or the family. While the tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, the opening 'Dear parents' is slightly unnatural; 'Dear Mr. and Mrs. [Surname]' would be more standard. The content is relevant, but the ideas could be expanded with more detail to fully satisfy the requirements of a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. There is a logical flow from the introduction to the specific points requested. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Also', 'In addition', and 'Finally', though some of these transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, and the letter maintains a consistent focus throughout. To improve, you could use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the transition between sentences feels more natural rather than just listing points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'master's degree', 'part-time', and 'expenses'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'might I am good option' (should be 'I believe I am a good candidate') and 'express myself' (which is slightly misused here; you likely meant 'introduce myself' or 'explain my qualifications'). The range is sufficient for the task, but using more precise collocations would elevate the quality of the writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'you children' (should be 'your children'), 'where I learn' (should be 'where I have learned'), and 'if can give me' (missing subject 'you'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that affect the flow. The errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct pronoun usage will help improve your accuracy.
