Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention your diploma in childcare, you could have elaborated more on how this specifically benefits the children. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter, although the opening 'Dear Sir/Madam' is less ideal given the prompt specifies the advertisement is from a 'couple' (a name or 'Dear Mr and Mrs X' would be better). Overall, the response is relevant and covers the requirements sufficiently for this band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the sentence 'If you need extra to provide beside classes' is fragmented and lacks a smooth transition from the previous thought. Additionally, there are issues with punctuation, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, which disrupts the flow of the text. Using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition to') would improve the logical progression between your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'I have all the skills' and 'I want to get experience'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'strong demand on both english' (should be 'strong command of') and 'tackle with different situation' (should be 'handle different situations'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more specific terminology related to teaching and childcare, such as 'pedagogical approach', 'nurturing environment', or 'bilingual proficiency'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Common issues include subject-verb agreement, missing articles, and incorrect sentence boundaries (e.g., 'The main reason I want to do this job.I want to get experience...'). The use of capital letters is also inconsistent, particularly after punctuation marks. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for punctuation would significantly improve your accuracy.
