Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points in the prompt: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. The ideas are relevant and clear. However, the development of these points is somewhat brief. For instance, while you mention being a university professor, you could have elaborated more on your teaching methodology to better persuade the parents. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though some phrasing, such as 'win-win condition', is slightly informal for this context. Overall, the response covers the requirements well, but could benefit from more detailed expansion to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices like 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'Lastly' to guide the reader. However, the transition between ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the use of punctuation is inconsistent, which occasionally disrupts the flow. For example, the sentence starting with 'But also i am have gymnastic' is poorly connected to the previous clause. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'multilingual', 'occupation', and 'custom and tradition'. There are some word choice errors, such as 'educate secondary language' (should be 'teach a second language') and 'offspring' (which sounds unnatural and overly clinical in this context). Additionally, 'i am have gymnastic' is an incorrect collocation. While your meaning is generally clear, the vocabulary is somewhat limited and occasionally imprecise. To improve, focus on using more natural collocations and avoiding overly formal or awkward word choices.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('i am have gymnastic'), missing articles ('a advertisement'), and capitalization errors ('french', 'i'). The sentence structure in the second paragraph is particularly fragmented, which hinders clarity. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, consistent capitalization, and proper sentence construction will help you achieve a higher score.
