You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year. Write a letter to the couple. In your letter

• explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
• say what else you could do for the family
• give your reasons for wanting the job

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing in response to your advertisement for someone to teach your children my language for a year. I believe I would be suitable for this position because I am patient, friendly, and responsible. I also enjoy working with children and I have a previous experience in teaching primary school children. I would make the lessons interesting by using games, stories and everyday conversations.

In addition to teaching my language, I could help your children with their homework and take care of them when you are busy. I can also prepare simple meals for them, help with household chores and introduce your family to my culture, music, celebrations, and traditional food.

I am particularly interested in this job because I have always wanted to learn and experience Australian culture. Living with your family would allow me to improve my English while sharing my own language and culture with your children. I think it would be a rewarding experience for all of us.
