Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional help, and reasons for wanting the job. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. While you mention your experience, the explanation of how you would help the family beyond teaching the language is vague, focusing on general values rather than specific practical assistance. The tone is also slightly informal for a formal job application letter (e.g., 'you guys'). To improve, ensure you provide more concrete examples of your teaching methods and specific ways you could assist the family, such as helping with household chores or extracurricular activities, to better demonstrate your suitability.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is abrupt. While you use 'firstly' and 'secondly', the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally disjointed. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'when you find this letter'. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the progression of ideas is smoother and more logical throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision expected at higher levels. There are several spelling errors, such as 'expiernce', 'todllers', 'goverment', 'bilinguale', 'mange', 'carrier', 'socity', and 'reciveced'. These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader. Furthermore, the word choice is somewhat basic; for instance, 'good choice' and 'good opportunity' are repetitive. To improve, focus on accurate spelling and incorporating more sophisticated vocabulary related to education and professional experience, such as 'pedagogical expertise' or 'professional development'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have frequent errors in punctuation (e.g., missing capital letters for 'i' and 'canada') and sentence construction. For example, 'as an experienced teacher in language, i would be a good choice' is grammatically weak, and 'my profession from last 10 years' is incorrect usage. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of grammatical slips prevents the text from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic errors and refining sentence structure.
