Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt: explaining suitability, offering additional help, and stating reasons for wanting the job. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter of application. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, while you mention your experience in Pakistan, providing a specific example of your teaching style or success would have strengthened the response. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the requirements are met, but the content could be more detailed to reach a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by repetitive phrasing, such as mentioning the proximity to the house twice in different paragraphs. The use of paragraphing is appropriate for a letter format, and the progression of ideas is generally easy to follow, though the transitions could be more sophisticated.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message clearly, but it lacks variety and precision. You rely on simple terms like 'good command', 'easy', and 'help'. There are also some minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'gardaning' (gardening) and 'urdu' (which should be capitalized as Urdu). To improve, try to incorporate more specific professional vocabulary related to education or childcare, and ensure consistent capitalization of proper nouns.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'I saw you job advertisement' (your), 'I have a experience' (an experience), and 'teach you children' (your). Additionally, there are punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will help improve your accuracy.
