Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention your master's degree, you could have elaborated more on your teaching methodology to sound more professional. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear sir / madam' is slightly generic given the prompt specifies writing to a 'couple'. Overall, the response covers the requirements, but the depth of information provided is basic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Also' and 'Because', but the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition between your teaching experience and the offer to create a timetable is abrupt. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'I do job privately to tell Punjabi language to our native county children'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your message, but it lacks the precision and range expected at higher bands. You rely on simple verbs like 'tell' or 'give' where more specific academic or professional vocabulary would be better (e.g., 'teach' or 'provide'). There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'proper slang' and 'native county children'. While your meaning is clear, the word choice is often repetitive and lacks the sophistication needed for a higher score. Expanding your repertoire of professional terminology would be highly beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'I do job privately', 'I can give make a timetable', and 'your children learn Punjabi language with in 90 days'. You rely heavily on simple sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences often contain errors in subject-verb agreement or word order. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas and spaces before punctuation marks. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors would significantly improve your accuracy.
