Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explained your suitability by highlighting your educational background and current teaching experience. You also proposed an additional service (weekend tutoring for the parents) and provided clear, personal reasons for wanting the job. The tone is appropriate for a letter of application, and the purpose is clear throughout. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are slightly more developed; for example, you could elaborate on how your specific teaching methods would benefit children living in an English-speaking environment. Overall, the task requirements are well-met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a specific purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Apart from this', and 'As I am', which help the flow of information. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence connectivity, such as in the sentence 'I am confident in my learning and good experience helps your children'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'private tutoring', 'native language', and 'queries'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'I had done my education' (should be 'I completed my education') and 'I like more to teach' (should be 'I prefer teaching'). Additionally, there are minor errors in phrasing, such as 'Please free feel to reach out me'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over collocations and idiomatic expressions to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, such as 'I am also provide' instead of 'I also provide' and 'it is including' instead of 'it is included'. Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'As I am giving more realistic example so that they can naturally learn'. While your meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent a higher score. Focusing on consistent tense usage and correct verb forms will significantly improve your accuracy.
