Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, reaching only 82 words. Consequently, the task is not fully addressed. While you mention your suitability for the role, you completely fail to address the requirement to 'say what else you could do for the family' and provide only a very brief, underdeveloped reason for wanting the job. The letter is significantly underdeveloped, meaning the key requirements of the prompt are not met. To improve, you must expand on each bullet point with specific details and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter lacks a clear structure. It begins with an inappropriate salutation ('Dear Concern' instead of 'Dear Sir/Madam' or a name) and lacks proper paragraphing to separate the different requirements of the task. The progression of ideas is abrupt due to the brevity of the text. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences, making the flow feel disjointed. To improve, use clear paragraph breaks for each bullet point and include linking words such as 'furthermore', 'in addition', or 'consequently' to connect your ideas logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and contains several errors in word choice and spelling. For example, 'tutioning' is misspelled, and 'perfectly align' is grammatically incorrect (should be 'aligned'). The phrase 'absorbing skills' is unnatural in this context. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express your suitability for the position effectively. You should aim to use more precise professional terminology related to teaching and childcare to demonstrate a wider range of lexical resources.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of the message. Examples include 'I am writing against your Job proposal' (should be 'regarding'), 'more yhen 5 years' (spelling error), and 'deliver children as per their absorbing skills' (unclear phrasing). The sentence structures are simple, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for basic spelling errors, and try to incorporate a variety of complex sentence structures.
