Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional services, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these points is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention teaching experience, you do not elaborate on how your specific teaching style would benefit the children. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening 'Dear Sir or Madam' is slightly generic given the prompt implies you are writing to a specific couple. To improve, ensure that your ideas are expanded with more specific details to better persuade the reader of your suitability.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, the frequent use of 'I also' and 'I' at the start of sentences makes the flow feel a bit disjointed. Transitions between ideas could be smoother; using a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition to this' would improve the logical progression of your arguments and make the text feel more cohesive.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic verbs like 'enjoy', 'teach', and 'find'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'in regards of require tutor' (should be 'regarding the requirement for a tutor') and 'never regreted' (should be 'never regret'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to education and personal attributes, and pay closer attention to word forms and standard collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

There is a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have several grammatical errors, such as 'I am writing this to express my interest for your requirement' (should be 'in your requirement'), 'I am find this job' (should be 'I find this job'), and 'Apart from teach them' (should be 'Apart from teaching them'). These errors are frequent and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not fully impede communication. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct verb forms will significantly improve your score.
