Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses all three bullet points, but the development is insufficient. You explain your suitability and reasons for wanting the job, but the section on what else you could do for the family is very brief and lacks detail. Furthermore, the response is 18 words under the 150-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the task achievement score as the ideas are not fully extended. To improve, you should expand on your skills—perhaps mentioning childcare experience or household help—and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a more comprehensive development of your ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical progression, starting with the purpose of the letter and moving through the required points. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite limited and mechanical. Phrases like 'Moreover' are used, but the transitions between sentences feel abrupt. Paragraphing is also underdeveloped; the letter would benefit from clearer separation between the introduction, the body paragraphs addressing the specific requirements, and the closing. Improving the flow between sentences using a wider variety of linking words would help achieve a higher band score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. You use simple phrases such as 'quite interested' and 'prove my worth'. While these are understandable, they lack the precision and variety expected at higher levels. There are also some minor word-choice issues, such as 'delivered best of my abilities' (should be 'deliver the best of my abilities'). To improve, try to incorporate more specific vocabulary related to teaching or professional communication, and ensure your word forms are accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are several grammatical errors that occur throughout the text, such as 'I done with two year's special course' (should be 'I have completed a two-year special course') and 'thats the reason' (missing apostrophe). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited use of complex sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors and the lack of structural variety limit the score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of verb tenses will significantly improve your accuracy.
