Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the required bullet points. While you mention your suitability and reasons for wanting the job, the ideas are underdeveloped and the letter is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence. You have not addressed the requirement to say what else you could do for the family beyond teaching. To improve, you must expand on each point with specific details and ensure the letter is finished in a coherent manner. The tone is also slightly inappropriate for a letter to a family, as 'Dear sir' is too formal for this context.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter lacks a clear structure and logical progression. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore', the paragraphing is inconsistent and the abrupt ending makes it difficult to follow the flow of ideas. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is mechanical. To achieve a higher score, you should organize your ideas into clear paragraphs, each focusing on one of the bullet points provided in the prompt, and ensure that your sentences are linked more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. Phrases like 'manage my basics thing' and 'earn bread and butter' are either grammatically incorrect or idiomatic in a way that does not fit the professional context of a job application. You rely on very simple language to describe your teaching experience. To improve, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to education and professional communication. For example, instead of 'boost the confidence', you could use 'foster self-assurance' or 'enhance student confidence'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'mange their time' (spelling), 'boost the confidence' (article usage), and 'teach... in your children' (preposition error). The sentence structure is simplistic, and the incomplete sentence at the end ('I would') indicates a lack of control over the final output. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct preposition usage. Proofreading your work for simple errors like 'want to need this jobs' would also help improve the accuracy of your writing.
