Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, the development of these points is somewhat limited. For instance, the mention of 'what else you could do for the family' is missing entirely, as you only discuss your teaching availability and rate. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening 'Dear Sir or Madam' is slightly generic given the prompt mentions a 'couple'. To improve, ensure you explicitly address every part of the instructions with more detail to demonstrate a fuller development of ideas.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition' and 'However' to link ideas. However, the transition between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the paragraphing could be more effectively used to separate the different requirements of the task. The flow is generally clear, but the connection between your current location in India and your future plans in Australia could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to complete the task, such as 'financial support' and 'significant experience'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'making plan' (should be 'making plans' or 'planning'), 'take 12$ of charge' (should be 'charge $12'), and 'positive prompts' (which is not a natural collocation in this context). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices sound natural in a professional correspondence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, including 'I have complete my master' (should be 'completed'), 'Currenty' (spelling), 'I will available' (should be 'I will be available'), and 'in teaching field' (should be 'in the teaching field'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall accuracy. Increasing your control over verb tenses and articles will significantly improve your score.
