Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points: suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, the tone is inconsistent and occasionally inappropriate for a formal job application. For instance, mentioning 'urgent money' and 'financial crisis' is unprofessional and shifts the focus away from your qualifications. While the task requirements are met, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. To improve, focus more on how your skills benefit the family rather than personal financial struggles, which may make the reader uncomfortable.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inaccurate, such as the awkward transition 'Although, there are numerous teachers available, but i have...'. Punctuation errors, particularly missing spaces after commas and periods, disrupt the flow of the text. The progression of ideas is generally logical, but the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the writing feel somewhat disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms like 'special skills' and 'deep understanding' without providing specific examples of your teaching methodology. There are also errors in word choice, such as 'promotion' instead of 'advertisement' and 'convien time' (a misspelling of convenient). To reach a higher band, you should use more precise terminology related to education and professional communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including subject-verb agreement issues ('my whole family is an teachor', 'they does not face'), incorrect article usage, and persistent punctuation errors (missing spaces after punctuation). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are noticeable and detract from the professional tone. You rely mostly on simple sentence structures; incorporating more complex sentences with correct subordination would improve your score.
