Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. However, the development of these ideas is quite basic. For instance, while you mention you are 'patient and friendly', you could have provided a brief example of how you have used these traits in the past. The letter is functional and covers the requirements, but it lacks the depth and professional tone expected for a formal application. To improve, try to expand on your experiences rather than just listing personal qualities.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into short paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'Apart from this' to link your ideas. However, the flow is somewhat mechanical, and the paragraphing is a bit fragmented. Some sentences are quite short and choppy, which affects the overall cohesion. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow more naturally into one another to create a more cohesive narrative.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You use the word 'childrens' multiple times, which is grammatically incorrect (the plural of child is children). There are also several spelling errors, such as 'intersted', 'livining', 'susch', 'speking', 'throgh', 'freindly', 'parpare', 'intersting', and 'neccessary'. These errors are frequent and occasionally distracting. To improve, you should focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and try to incorporate more varied vocabulary related to teaching and childcare to demonstrate a wider range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

You rely mostly on simple sentence structures. While you attempt some complex ideas, the grammatical control is weak. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and pluralization, such as 'I am intersted' and 'teaching your childrens'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. The frequent errors in basic grammar and spelling occasionally impede the flow of reading. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct plural forms, and proofreading your work to catch simple punctuation and spelling slips before finalizing your letter.
