Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining your suitability, offering additional help, and stating your reasons for wanting the job. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter, although it leans towards being overly informal and repetitive. While the ideas are relevant, they are somewhat under-developed. For example, you mention being a 'responsible person' and having a 'diploma of computer programmes,' but these points could be expanded to better illustrate how they would benefit the family. To improve, ensure you provide more specific examples of your teaching experience and how your additional skills would specifically assist the children in their daily lives.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use basic cohesive devices like 'secondly' and 'finally' to signal the progression of your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'I'm also living your neiborhood.' The connection between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider range of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow logically from one to the next without relying on repetitive structures.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task but remains quite basic. There are several spelling errors, such as 'interester' instead of 'interested,' 'neiborhood' instead of 'neighborhood,' and 'mathod' instead of 'method.' You also use some incorrect word forms, such as 'felling reliable' instead of 'feeling comfortable' or 'at ease.' While your meaning is generally clear, the limited range of vocabulary and frequent spelling mistakes prevent you from achieving a higher score. Try to expand your range by using more precise adjectives and verbs related to teaching and professional communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('i also the diploma'), article usage ('a english teacher'), and sentence structure ('i am happy came to know'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and apostrophes (e.g., 'i,m' instead of 'I'm'). While you attempt some complex sentences, they are often faulty, which can occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
