Dear Sir,

I am writing this letter regarding the advertisement I have seen recently about the language tutor. The advert mentions clearly that you need person for your child's to learn Hindi.

To commence with, I am a student. Studying economics as well as I am tutor in the university of city. This is the place I teach the student about Hindi and mostly are Indians. I have two years of experience in this field. Moreover, I am very soft hearted person and I love kids.

On the other hand, I am looking for a part-time job. I know cooking so, I can make meals while you were away for work or something else. Other than that, I can look after your kids. such as, shower, Tution, and some household chores.

I would like to share my fascination about this job. Firstly, it is nearby my home. Secondly, I want to gain more experience in education field. This will boost my knowledge and saves my travel expense as well as time.

I am looking forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

RHP

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You explained your suitability for the job by mentioning your experience as a university tutor teaching Hindi, stated what else you could do for the family such as cooking and household chores, and gave your reasons for wanting the job, noting that it is nearby your home and helps you gain educational experience. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter, although the salutation "Dear Sir," is somewhat formal and generic since the prompt specifies the advertisement is from "a couple". Overall, the ideas are relevant and adequately cover all parts of the task, meeting the expectations for Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter has a clear overall arrangement and uses paragraphing to separate different topics, such as suitability, additional help, and reasons for applying. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or faulty. For instance, transitional phrases like "To commence with" and "On the other hand" are used rather awkwardly and do not logically contrast the ideas in the way standard cohesive devices should. Referencing is also slightly unclear in places, such as "mostly are Indians" and "while you were away for work or something else." Paragraphing is visible, but the logical progression between sentences could be smoother. These issues place the response firmly at Band 6.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message about teaching Hindi and helping around the house. However, there are noticeable limitations and word choice errors, such as "advertisement I have seen recently about the language tutor" instead of a Hindi tutor, and "soft hearted person" written as two words. You attempt some less common items like "fascination" and "travel expense," but inaccuracies in collocation and phrasing prevent you from reaching a higher band. Spelling is generally fine, but the overall lexical range remains at a Band 6.0 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as "I am writing this letter regarding..." and "I know cooking so, I can make meals...". There are several grammatical errors and punctuation slips throughout the text, including missing articles ("need person for your child's"), unnecessary capitalization ("Studying economics as well as I am tutor"), and awkward phrasing like "saves my travel expense as well as time." While these errors are noticeable and require the reader to occasionally pause, they do not impede overall communication. This performance aligns well with the Band 6.0 descriptors for grammatical accuracy and range.
