Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three points: you explain your previous tutoring experience, offer babysitting and maths teaching, and give reasons for wanting the position, including gaining practical experience and earning money for future studies. These are relevant details, and the offer to charge less adds a practical benefit for the family. However, some points are only briefly stated. For example, you do not explain what your earlier jobs involved or how you would teach the children your language. Your reasons also compete slightly: you mention both study experience and money without developing either. To strengthen the letter, add one or two specific examples of your teaching or childcare skills and explain how they would benefit this particular family.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The ideas are relevant and can be followed, with basic links such as “In addition” and “because.” However, nearly the whole letter is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader has little help distinguishing your suitability, extra help, and reasons for applying. Several ideas are joined together with “and” or “so,” creating a crowded sequence rather than clear progression. The closing request and sign-off are also not clearly separated, and “Thanks / Your faithfull” does not form a complete, well-organised ending. Use short paragraphs for the three main points, connect related ideas more selectively, and finish with a conventional closing such as “Yours sincerely” followed by your name.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “experience,” “babysitting,” “professional care giver,” and “practical experience.” There are also attempts to express benefits, such as offering a lower fee. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “the tutor,” “dealing with the childrens,” “enhance your skills,” and “regret on it.” Spelling errors such as “pracical” and “faithfull” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your purpose, but they make the letter less natural and precise. Learn common phrases for applications and childcare, and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses with “because” and “as,” and the main message remains understandable. However, the response relies heavily on long sentences joined by “and,” with limited variety in sentence structure. Some grammatical errors affect accuracy, for example “I had done this type of jobs earlier” and “I will charge you less as market price.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “the childrens” and the run-on sequence beginning “I want this job as i also need…”. Capitalise “I,” use full stops to separate complete ideas, and practise accurate past-tense and comparative patterns. Shorter, controlled sentences would make your meaning clearer.
