Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain your suitability through your teaching experience and master’s degree, offer practical help with childcare and transport, and give reasons for wanting the role. These details make the letter relevant and generally clear. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “I have 1 year of experience” does not explain what or whom you taught, while your offer to help the family is more specific. Your reasons also combine financial need with enjoyment of teaching, but could explain more clearly why this particular position in Australia appeals to you. A more tailored opening and a clear closing request would make the purpose and tone more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: you introduce the advertisement, describe your qualifications, offer additional help, and explain your motivation. Paragraph breaks support this progression, and linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Along with this,” and “Although” help connect ideas. At times, however, the links feel mechanical or do not express the relationship precisely. “Although” introduces your current bank job, but the contrast with your wish to teach is not fully explained. The sentence beginning “As you want…” also makes the opening difficult to follow. Organise each paragraph around one clear purpose and use simpler, more direct transitions; a conventional closing sentence would also give the letter a clearer finish.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including relevant terms such as “experience,” “primary school students,” and “financial problems.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, or collocation errors make the letter sound less natural. Examples include “on the newspaper,” “language teaching to two of your kids,” and “takecare.” “Kids” is understandable but less suitable than “children” in this formal application. Check spelling carefully, especially “Punjabi” and “language,” and learn common combinations such as “advertisement in the newspaper” and “pick them up and drop them off.” More precise vocabulary for your teaching background would also strengthen the application.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the conditional idea “If you will be busy in your work…” and the contrast introduced by “Although.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and naturalness. For example, “I have 1 year of experience and also i done master” needs a correctly formed verb phrase, such as “I have one year of experience and have also completed a master’s degree.” In “As you want that your children should learn…,” the clause structure is awkward; “As you are looking for someone to teach your children Punjabi” is clearer. Review verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries, and use a mix of accurate simple sentences and carefully controlled complex ones.
