dear mam\sir
I want to write this letter to apply for a job as a language tutor.
yesterday, I saw a advertisement in a newspaper that you are looking a person who will teach your two children your native langauge. I have a excellent knowledge in this language because I am speaking this since my childhood and I also took classes when I was a child to improve my language skills. presenly, I am expert in this.
I will also take care of your children if you are working and have no time to take care of them. I will teach them, make food, play games and many more.
currently, I am living in Australia and I am looking for a job to bear my personal expenses. I also taught some children in my home country and they were really like my teaching skills.
I look forward to hearing from you soon

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points in the task: you explain your language ability and previous teaching experience, offer to help with childcare and household activities, and give a reason for wanting the position. These details make the letter relevant and its purpose clear. The suitability point is the strongest, with your childhood experience and teaching of children in your home country; however, the claim that you are an expert is not supported with a specific example. Your offer to cook and play with the children is useful, but could be explained in more detail. To develop the response further, describe how you would teach the children or give a clearer example of how your experience would benefit this family.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The information follows a generally sensible order: you introduce your application, explain your qualifications, offer additional help, and then give your reason for applying. This makes the main message understandable. However, the letter is presented as one continuous block rather than in clearly separated paragraphs, so the different points are not easy to scan. Some links between ideas are also basic, and the repeated use of “I” at the start of sentences makes the flow somewhat mechanical. Use a separate paragraph for each main purpose and connect related details more smoothly—for example, link your previous teaching experience directly to how you would help the children learn.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “language tutor,” “language skills,” “take care of your children,” and “personal expenses.” However, the range is limited and some word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “a excellent knowledge,” “bear my personal expenses,” and “they were really like my teaching skills.” Spelling errors, including “langauge” and “presenly,” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your purpose, but they make the letter less natural and precise. Build a wider range of expressions for teaching and childcare, and check spelling and common word combinations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You communicate using mostly simple sentences, with some attempts to combine ideas, such as “I will also take care of your children if you are working and have no time to take care of them.” The meaning is generally clear, but errors occur in sentence structure and grammatical forms. For example, “you are looking a person” needs a different construction, and “I am speaking this since my childhood” does not use the appropriate tense pattern. There are also article and punctuation problems, as in “a advertisement” and the inconsistent capitalisation at the beginnings of sentences. Practise accurate present-perfect forms for experiences continuing to the present, and proofread articles, sentence openings, and punctuation.
