Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You make a limited attempt to address the task: you mention five years of teaching experience and say you could provide extra language classes and educational help. However, the letter does not explain why you want the job, which is a required point, and the reasons you give for being suitable are brief and repetitive. The request to “appoint me” does not replace a clear explanation of your motivation. The response is also 9 words below the 150-word minimum, leaving little space to develop the required points. Add a specific reason for wanting to live or work with the family, and support your suitability with relevant examples, such as how you would make lessons engaging for the children.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic sequence: it introduces the purpose, describes teaching experience, and then mentions possible help for the family. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, most of the content is compressed into two long paragraphs, and the first paragraph combines the subject line with the opening of the letter. The ideas within the main paragraph are not clearly separated, while repeated claims such as being “perfect at my job” and “eligible” do not build a clear progression. Use a conventional opening, then separate your suitability, additional help, and motivation into distinct paragraphs. Linking phrases can help, but make sure each paragraph develops one clear point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “teaching,” “languages,” “education,” and “basic level,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “expert i am at my work,” “covinet with childrens,” and “teached many of the language.” Spelling and word-form errors also make the letter less polished. Choose precise phrases for your experience and abilities, and use natural collocations such as “experienced language teacher” and “comfortable working with children.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating broad claims; specific vocabulary about lesson planning or activities would make your suitability clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your response relies mainly on simple statements and attempts a few longer structures, but control is inconsistent. For example, “I had a experience for 5 years in teaching” has problems with the article, tense, and sentence pattern, while “I am perfect at my job and teached many of the language” shifts incorrectly between present and past forms. There are also errors in plural forms and sentence boundaries, particularly in the long sentence beginning “First of all.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise forming clear sentences with accurate past and present tenses, and use a range of structures such as “I have taught languages for five years” and “I could also help the children with their studies.”
