Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three requested points and maintains a clear, appropriate purpose. You explain your suitability through being a native speaker, having teaching experience, and using games and storytelling; you also offer homework help and household assistance. Your reasons for applying—further study in Australia and enjoyment of working with children—are relevant and supported. This clear coverage and development of the main ideas are strong features. To make the response more fully developed, add a specific example of your teaching experience or describe how you would tailor lessons to the children’s ages and interests. The opening and closing are appropriate in intent, though more accurate forms of address would make the letter more polished.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information is organised in a clear sequence: you introduce your application, explain your qualifications, describe additional help, and give your reasons for wanting the position. Paragraphing supports this progression, and linking phrases such as “Apart from” and “Furthermore” help connect related points. The reader can follow the purpose throughout. Some connections are a little mechanical, however, and the transition from wanting to study in Australia to improving your family’s lifestyle could be made more explicit. You could also use pronouns and linking expressions more precisely to avoid awkward phrasing, as in “which I believe it is the main quality of teacher.” Overall, the organisation is clear; smoother links would make it more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main points, including relevant teaching terms such as “native speaker,” “grammar,” “storytelling,” and “educational activities.” There is some variety in describing your qualities and the help you could offer. However, noticeable word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors reduce precision: “interested for this position,” “Apart form,” “tuition class,” and “improve my family life style” are not natural or accurate in this context. “Noun, pronoun, preposition and many more” also sounds like a list rather than a precise description of language knowledge. Build a bank of natural phrases for applications and teaching, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will make your meaning more fluent and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The letter includes both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, for example “because I used to teach…” and “If necessary, I could help…”. These forms allow you to explain experience, reasons, and possible contributions. However, errors occur in basic sentence patterns and articles, and some complex attempts are not controlled: “I am writing letter,” “I know how make lesson interesting,” and “which I believe it is the main quality of teacher.” There are also problems with possessive forms and sentence construction in “The main reason, I want this job because…”. Practise complete infinitive patterns (“how to make”), article use, and avoiding duplicated subjects or connectors. More accurate control of these structures would improve clarity.
