Student answer (Band 6.0)
Dear,
I hope you are doing well. I luckily saw your add about looking for a language teacher for your kids. I would be glad to the coach for your kids.
Let me introduce you myself I'v masters in this specific language and adding to it, i also have 5 years of teaching experience. Moreover, i have the experience to teach language from kids to adult ones. I know how to tackle kids of any age. Students feel confident with my teaching style and pattern which include daily assignments and speech training drills.
The best coincidence is that I live just 2 blocks away from your location so it would be easy commute for me. Furthermore i can help for other family members to learn some basics about this language so you can practice with yours kids at home.
I'm student here and looking for part time job too. This job will help me to cover my fee expenses and both of us can get benefits.
Im looking forward to hear back from you.
sincerely
Muhammad Abrar

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you describe your qualifications and teaching experience, offer to help other family members learn, and explain that the job would provide part-time income while you study. These details make your application relevant and give the couple reasons to consider you. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “I know how to tackle kids of any age” is not supported with a specific example, and your reason for wanting the job focuses mainly on covering expenses rather than what interests you about teaching the children or living in the local community. A more complete letter would expand these points and use a suitable greeting and sign-off addressed to the couple.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a generally clear sequence: you introduce your interest, present your teaching background, mention practical help for the family, and explain your motivation. Paragraph breaks also help separate these ideas. Linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” show how you are adding information, although their use can feel mechanical, and some connections are not fully clear. For instance, “The best coincidence” introduces your proximity, but the relationship between living nearby and being suitable for the role could be stated more directly. The opening and closing are also not fully shaped as a formal letter. To improve progression, group related points more deliberately and use clear references and transitions rather than relying on repeated additive links.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for an application, including “teaching experience,” “daily assignments,” “speech training drills,” and “part time job.” These choices communicate your background and proposed support. However, several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, which makes parts of the letter less natural: “add” for “advertisement,” “coach” for “teach,” and “tackle kids” are examples. “Fee expenses” is also an awkward phrase, and “pattern” is not the clearest word for your teaching approach. Aim for precise, natural expressions suited to a polite job application, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This would make your meaning smoother without needing unusually advanced vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “Moreover” and the clause “so it would be easy commute for me.” Most of your meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in sentence construction, articles, and verb patterns. For example, “I would be glad to the coach” is missing a suitable verb construction, while “Let me introduce you myself” has an incorrect pronoun pattern. In “it would be easy commute,” an article is needed, and “looking forward to hear” requires a different verb form. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent. Review these common patterns and proofread each sentence; more accurate control would strengthen the letter while preserving your attempts at varied structures.
