Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the three requested points: you explain your suitability through your Punjabi master’s degree, early-childhood study, teaching experience and first-aid training; mention cooking and helping the children academically; and give reasons for wanting the position, including your recent move and the family’s location. These details make the letter relevant and give the couple useful information. However, the offer to teach “all the subjects” is broad and not clearly connected to the family’s request, while your reasons for wanting this particular role are less developed than your qualifications. Explain how your language and childcare experience would benefit their children, and add a more personal reason for choosing this family’s opportunity.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter follows a generally sensible order: it introduces the application, presents qualifications and additional help, then explains your motivation and closes politely. Paragraph breaks also help separate the main stages. However, the qualifications paragraph contains many points in quick succession, and transitions such as “Moreover,” “In addition,” “Moving further,” and “Additionally” make the connections feel mechanical. The shift from teaching Punjabi to offering all subjects and then cooking could be organised more clearly. Group related qualifications and experience together, then use a separate paragraph for practical help and your reasons for applying. This would create a clearer progression and make the relationships between ideas easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a relevant range of vocabulary for a job application, including “master’s,” “early childhood,” “first-aid certification,” and “elementary school teacher.” These terms communicate your qualifications and experience. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “in the reponse of,” “teaching a Punjabi,” “youngsters,” and “food serve certification.” “Perform excellent” is also not a natural way to describe academic achievement. Spelling and capitalisation slips, including “reponse” and lowercase “i,” further reduce accuracy. Choose conventional application language and check spelling and collocations carefully; this will make your message sound more fluent and professional without requiring more complex vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including a relative clause in “which demonstrates the ability to work with children” and a conditional sentence beginning “If you need any additional information.” Most of the message remains understandable. Some grammatical errors, however, affect accuracy: “I am writing this letter in the reponse” uses an incorrect construction, “i completed” has incorrect capitalisation, and “i am also having” is an awkward tense form. “I wanted this job” also shifts into the past when you are describing a current application. Review articles, verb forms and tense consistency, and use complete, controlled sentences. More accurate complex sentences would help you express your qualifications and motivation clearly.
