Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose of the letter and include relevant points: your Urdu master’s degree and six years of teaching support your suitability, while your wish to earn money and continue higher studies explains your interest. You also offer weekend teaching, but the task asks what else you could do for the family; this point is not clearly answered, since extra teaching time is still part of the main job. Several claims, such as the children becoming fluent in 15 to 30 days, are not convincingly supported. The letter’s purpose is understandable, but the ideas are limited and some parts of the task are only partially covered. Add a specific family contribution, such as helping with homework or preparing meals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response follows a broadly sensible order: you introduce the advertisement, describe your qualifications, explain your reasons, and close politely. However, nearly all the information is packed into one long sentence, so the reader has to work to identify where one idea ends and another begins. The repeated use of “and” creates a run-on effect, and links such as “because” connect several different points without a clear progression. The final request and thanks provide a basic closing, but the letter would be easier to follow if divided into short paragraphs—for example, qualifications, help for the family, and reasons for applying—and if each paragraph focused on one main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “masters in Urdu,” “teaching,” “higher studies,” and “opportunity,” so the reader can understand your main message. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or informal, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “article for searching a teacher” is not a natural way to refer to an advertisement, and “pour them with the love of language” is an awkward expression. There are also spelling and word-form errors such as “techer,” “soo,” and “found of.” Aim for precise, natural phrases suited to a formal application letter, and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine several ideas using clauses with “because” and “that,” but the response relies heavily on one extended sentence, and these complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in sentence boundaries and punctuation make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. There are also problems with verb forms and agreement, as in “i myself is found” and “i just come from pakistan,” as well as missing or incorrect articles and capitalization. These errors occur frequently enough to cause some difficulty for the reader, even though the overall message can be understood. Use shorter, complete sentences and practise accurate present and past forms, subject–verb agreement, and sentence punctuation.
